4.1 End-to-End Encryption

Shared Content: All content shared via unified share links is protected with end-to-end encryption. This means:

  • Content is encrypted in your browser before being sent to our servers
  • We cannot view, access, or decrypt your shared content
  • Only recipients with the share link and encryption key can access the content
  • Encryption keys are never transmitted to or stored on our servers

4.2 Data Transmission

All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard HTTPS/TLS protocols.

4.3 Data Storage

Free Users: Captures are stored temporarily in your browser's local storage and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers. Data is cleared when you close your browser or session.

Pro Users: Captures are stored securely on our servers with encryption at rest. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

5.1 We Do NOT Sell Your Data

Your data is never sold, rented, or traded to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Period.

5.2 Service Providers

We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Service, such as:

  • Cloud infrastructure providers (for hosting and storage)
  • Email service providers (for authentication emails)
  • Analytics providers (for usage analysis and improvements)

We retain your captures and account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete individual captures or your entire account at any time.

6.3 Account Deletion

Immediate and Permanent: When you delete your account, all your data (captures, comments, account information) is immediately and permanently removed from our systems. This action cannot be undone.

6.4 Legal Retention

We may retain certain information for a limited period if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, financial records).

7. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

7.1 Access and Portability

You can access, download, and export your data at any time through your account dashboard.

7.2 Correction

You can update or correct your account information (email address) through your account settings.

7.3 Deletion

You can delete individual captures or your entire account at any time. Upon account deletion, all data is immediately removed.

You can opt out of non-essential communications. However, we will still send authentication emails and critical service notifications.

7.5 California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, delete your information, and opt out of the sale of personal information. Note: We do not sell personal information.
